YAM Poster Competition

IAEA Youth Art Month Flag and Poster Art Contest Entry & Instructions

The deadline for entries is Jan. 7th!

The theme is “Art in a Dream”.  Not required, but may also include “Illinois” and “Youth Art Month” in the design.  Winning artwork will be placed onto a commemorative poster and featured in the IAEA Mosaic Publication. Winning artwork will be placed onto a commemorative poster and featured in the IAEA Mosaic Publication. Winners will also be honored at the ArtConnect Ed (formerly IHSAE) virtual award ceremony. More details on prizes listed below. No ratio for the work required. Work must be 2-D.

Limit 25 entries per teacher.

Important: Please label each image submitted with Teacher Name, School Name, Student Name, and Grade level. (Ex. TriciaFrost_MonroeElementary_JennyJones_4th)

Prizes are sponsored by Blick Art Materials.  The contest itself is sponsored by the Council for Art Education Association.

  • Grade Level Winners receive $100 worth of art supplies and their teacher receives $300 worth of art supplies from Blick Art Materials. 
  • Grand Prize Winner receives $500 worth of art supplies and their teacher receives $1,000 worth of art supplies. 
  • Artwork will be on display at NAEA for the Council of Art Education’s YAM Museum and IAEA’s Mosaic publication.
