Why not propose a non-credited summer enrichment camp through your building or district. Think of art as a sport, students will only get better and form a more positive community with you and their peers if they form a “team community.” It could be an “honors art camp,” “AP studio bridge camp,” “learning more techniques and investigate various issues (consider Art:21) that they can explore,” it can fit any need you have in your community. The point is to get the students in the studio, work, form connections, and process art.
