At the beginning of Year and then the first Friday of each month of school I send a newsletter. In it we have a section that invites parents and or guardians to join our VIPS. Here is a example:

The first Friday of each month the Visual Arts Newsletter goes out. In it you will find images of your son & or daughters artwork, art events, articles on the importance of art & creativity, etc. Please take some time to look through it.

Also, our first fall meeting of the VIP Art Boosters will take place on Wednesday, September 7 at 5:30 p.m.
in Mr. Skura’s room (3) (enter at Door 23).

We have a couple of huge events coming up — National Art in Education Week and the Chicagoland 4×5 Art Show (hosted by OHS). Lots of volunteers are needed to help plan and run these important events.

Please take a moment to check the August Minutes that went out a few weeks ago. It lists the areas where help is needed right now. We sure hope you will consider volunteering a bit of your time for the VIP’s!
