We are seeking a Substitute Upper School Art Teacher (grades 9-12) to instruct students in a college-preparatory environment. This is a six-week paternity leave position beginning approximately January 15, 2018
This substitute faculty member will teach three sections on an established introductory art course for 9th grade call Global Studies Visual Art, Drawing, and a Digital Imaging class that uses Photoshop. Teacher will be responsible for communicating with students, families, and colleagues, and fulfilling faculty duties.
Qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in a related field (advanced degree preferred) and prior experience teaching high school art.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: willingness and ability to learn, participate, and be active in a private school community; strong problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills; self-motivated with high work standards and attention to detail.
