Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System has a full-time art teacher/art therapist position available in therapeutic day school, Innovations Academy. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following: Under the direction of the principal, the art teacher/art therapist provides students, groups/classroom with art instruction, therapeutic educational opportunities, and individual art therapy (with ATR or ATR-BC certification) that will enable them to reach their fullest educational potential, while rebuilding their self-esteem. The art teacher/art therapist is responsible for the assessment, planning, and implementation of students’ art development and art therapy treatment.
