Come learn with a community of educators who utilize design processes in their classrooms. The event will be a morning of design activities and presentations for high school teachers of all disciplines who want to incorporate design thinking into their curriculum. At the colloquium, local Teacher Presenters will share their lesson plans, student work samples, and give poster presentations featuring their classroom design activities. Current undergraduate Industrial Design students will discuss their educational journey and Professor Shin will introduce summer design education opportunities. There will also be time to meet and mingle over complimentary continental breakfast and morning snacks. Optional tours of the Fine and Applied Arts facilities and Krannert Art Museum (from an Exhibit Designer’s point of view) will be offered in the early afternoon.
