Skill Share: Improv for Everyone in the Art Room

September 24, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Come play games, be silly, and engage with other art educators as we head into the 2023 school year together.

Improv exercises are designed to excite and engage our teachers this fall. Improv increases communication and public speaking skills, it stimulates fast thinking and engagement with ideas. Improv helps remove mental barriers that block creative thinking and reward spontaneous, intuitive responses. Participants grow in confidence and feel more connected with others.

Impact on Students: Improv exercises are designed to excite and engage our teachers who, in turn, will excite and engage students this fall. Improvisation is a valuable teaching tool. It promotes interdependence and trust among students. Improv exercises actively engage students in the learning process and foster deeper learning. Improv addresses the diverse learning needs of all students.
