Webinar: Critical Skills for Human-Centered Designers

Agncy is a human-centered design firm focused on design for equity. In this presentation, we will share how human-centered design methods and processes are being adapted and interrogated in contemporary equity design work. We’ll provide case studies that reflect how some core designer mindsets are being pushed by the demands of justice-driven work. We’ll then interpret this through the lens of the specific skill set that designers need to thrive and grow in these practices. We’ll make connections to the Illinois Art Standards to contextualize how skills come to life in the professional design environment. And we’ll discuss how we question some traditional design skills in the type of equity work that we do at Agncy.
