Participants will learn about a multi-year journey of a traditional visual arts curriculum transforming into a new distinct art + design program and how teachers have maintained teaching studio art practices while also teaching design thinking and learning processes. They will explore these two lenses through discussion, participate in a design thinking workshop for infusing design into their curriculum., and then attend a hands-on workshop called “Illustration and Design, and How They Differ”
