Hello,
I am currently teaching art in the suburbs, but I missed the city too much, so I returned. I am now living in Albany Park.
I planned on moving back into CPS, but my friend, who actually runs CPS, said now is not the best time to return, as she spelled out the reasons.
I am teaching remotely and writing grants for a friend’s social justice organization, here in the city.
I am currently teaching 2D Arts Intro, Painting 3-4, 5-6, Drawing 3-4, 5-6, Fine Arts Studio, Digital Arts Intro, Cartooning and Animation 1-2, 3-4, and helping out with ceramics when needed.
I have been teaching art for art organizations and schools for 20 years and teaching in the classroom for 15 years. I just attained tenure this year, but suburban life just was not for me.
