    Learning Programs Associate
    The Learning Programs Associate is a full-time position, assisting throughout the department’s work in implementing Chicago Shakespeare Theater’s wide range of programs.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
     Support the day-to-day operations involving the Theater’s robust student matinee series and professional learning programs for teachers, including extensive, year-round stewardship of relationships with teachers, both by telephone and in person.
     Maintain daily contact management records on teachers and student contacts utilizing organization-wide Tessitura data base.
     Execute and track school group contracts through internal systems and with the contracting parties.
     Participate in welcoming, seating, and oversight of student audiences; proactively utilize these onsite contacts with teachers to build ongoing supportive relationships.
     Assist in the planning, recruiting, organizing, implementation, hosting, and evaluation of the annual high school Chicago Shakespeare Slam with schools across the region.
     Assist in the organizing and hosting of the Theater’s access programs, including audio-described, ASL, and open-captioned performances.
     Develop expertise in operation/implementation of data-base programs utilized in the Department (Tessitura and Excel), and proactively contribute to identifying needs in Department’s use of database.
     Serve as advocate for the learning and access programs and constituencies throughout the organization and in the community, demonstrating a capacity to articulate the education philosophy and IDEA objectives in which the department’s work is based.
     Support the facilitation of post-show cast discussions for the abridged Shakespeare production.
     Assist in maintaining the onsite Teacher Resource Center collection.
     All other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS
     The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in English, Humanities, Education, the Arts or Communications, and one to two years full-time work experience.
     Strong organizational skills.
     Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
     Experience and proficiency with multiple software and database programs; advanced proficiency with Windows Office suite essential.
     Strong presentational skills.
     Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multiple-priorities environment.
     Ability to problem-solve on the job.
     Ability to research and write effectively for variety of audiences is highly desirable.
     Experience with desktop publishing desirable.
     Tessitura software and HTML software preferred.
     Ability to work frequent Saturdays and some evening hours when education programs are scheduled with an emphasis on the first semester of the school year

    COMPENSATION
    Salary is competitive within the non-profit performing arts industry and commensurate with qualifications and experience. $40,000-45,000 annually. Benefits package includes health, dental, vision, 403b, paid time off, life insurance, and commuter spending plan.
