NAEA Western Region Leadership Summit June 21-24 hosted by the Illinois Art Education Association. The summit is open to NAEA Western Region leaders and their representatives from Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Manitoba, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northwest Territory, Ohio, Oklahoma, Saskatchewan, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. Attendees will be staying on the campus of Elmhurst College, 16 miles west of the Chicago Loop. It is a beautiful campus setting with an accredited arboretum.

Initial registration limited to three representatives per state. After May 1, 2017 additional spots may become available. Contact IAEA (see below) after May 1 if you wish additional spots to see if space is available.

Registration Fee: $150 per person
Shared Double Occupancy per person for all three nights: $135.00
Single Occupancy per person for all three nights: $207.00
A $35.00 cancellation fee will be applied to your refund. After May 15, no refunds are accepted, but you can authorize in writing to have a colleague attend in your place.

Elmhurst College, 16 miles west of the Chicago Loop, is a beautiful campus setting with an accredited arboretum. There are many options for evening dining within walking distance. Attendees will have free parking, easy access from expressways, and mass transportation. There are exceptional cultural and educational venues adjacent to the campus such as the Elmhurst Art Museum, the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art and the Elmhurst College renowned Art Collection including Chicago Imagist and Abstractionist Art.

The suburban Metra train connects Chicago with the western suburbs Union station serves Amtrak and is close to Ogilvie Station that serves Metra lines.
O’Hare and Midway Airports are accessible via van, limo and taxi services.
Conference participants will stay on campus in residence hall suites. Room reservations and payment can only be made through IAEA at the time of registration for the conference. There is a choice of single or double occupancy. Each air conditioned double room has 2 single beds; if you book a single occupancy room it may have 2 beds. West Hall has 1 bathroom per suite and there are 2 bedrooms per suite. Up to 4 people will share 1 bathroom. The following will be provided for each guest in a suite of two bedrooms:
-Linens Included (2 flat sheets, blanket, pillow, pillowcase, body towel, hand towel & washcloth)
-No toiletries are provided (shampoo, soap, etc.). Bring your own!
-Closet, limited hangers, dresser, desk and chair
-Secured building with key access
-Sitting room area and entryway area for each suite
-Free Wi-Fi throughout campus and free parking next to West Hall
-Secure lobby in building for guests to socialize
-Free parking (with provided permit) is behind West Hall (190 S Prospect, Elmhurst – End of football field – turn west)
-Shared Double Occupancy per person for all three nights, $135.00;
When you register you will have the option to select suite mates.
Suite assignments are made in the order received. If no suite mates(s) are listed they will be assigned:
-Single Occupancy per person for all three nights, $207.00
-Keys must be turned in at check out. A $135.00 charge will be assessed if keys are not turned in.
