The Illinois Art Education Association is the sole owner of information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. The Illinois Art Education Association collects information from our site visitors at several different points on our website.

Our websites offers several opportunities for visitors to register for informational mailings. These registration forms are often linked to the Illinois Art Education Association mailing lists and require users to give contact information (such as name and email address). We use this contact information to send users information about the Illinois Art Education Association fundraising events, news updates and new initiatives. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings at any time.

This Privacy Statement applies to the Illinois Art Education Association (ILAEA) Conference App that links to it and describes how Personal Data is handled and choices available to users regarding collection, process, access and how to update, correct and delete Personal Data. This Privacy Policy is effective: October 1, 2018

Personal Data that is Collected

A valid email, provided by app users who choose to share it for access to ILAEA conference information, is needed to create an Access Account. The Access Account is required for the app to download conference information from secure Google Firebase servers.

How Personal Data is Collected

When the app user creates an Access Account, they provide a valid email address and user defined password.

Non-Personal Data that is Collected

Data may be collected that cannot be used to directly identify app users. Such data includes limited app usage analytics as part of Google Firebase services.

How Personal Data is Used

The app user’s email may be used by ILAEA to contact apps users providing information updates regard current and future conferences hosted by ILAEA.

The passwords provided are encrypted and cannot be viewed by ILAEA or app developer.

How Personal Data is Disclosed or Shared

Personal Data will only be used by ILAEA to communicate to users by email, the app user’s email will not be shared with any other entity, person or business.

Links to Websites

Links from this app allow the app user to directly access ILAEA Conference vendors. The Privacy Policies of those vendor websites may differ from the ILAEA Conference app Privacy Policy as stated in this document. ILAEA is not responsible for the practices of other websites.

How Personal Data is Protected

The user’s email and password provided to create an Access Account is not stored on the user’s device. This information is stored on secure Google Firebase servers.

The app user’s email is handled as confidential Personal Data.

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. ILAEA cannot guarantee the security of your personal information during transmission. Any transmission of personal information is at the app user’s own risk.

Service Providers and Contractors

Third parties that perform functions in support of this app will have access to Personal Data as needed to perform their business functions, but Personal Data may not be used or shared for any other purpose.

Change or Deletion of Personal Data

The app user’s Access Account, email and password, are retained on Google Firebase servers for as long as the app user’s account is active.

The app user may, at any time, delete their Access Account. The ‘Delete Account’ option is presented at the bottom of the ‘About’ screen. When selected, the app user’s Access Account, email and password, are deleted from Google Firebase Authentication servers.

App User’s access to Personal Data

App users can request information related to Personal Data retained by contacting [email protected].

Consent to Privacy Policy

By using the ILAEA Conference App, the app user signify they have read and agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

App users have the right to withdraw from this consent at any time by contacting [email protected].

This Privacy Policy may be amended at any time. If changed, app users will be contacted by email.
