Apply now to present at this year’s Curriculum Slam!
Does your curriculum inspire students to engage with the ideas and art of our time? Do you have a project or lesson plan you’d like to share? Can you tell your story in 7 minutes using PowerPoint?
We are now accepting applications for presenters at the 2015 Curriculum Slam!
The Slam! will take place Tuesday May 5th, 2015, from 4:30-6:30pm.
The Curriculum Slam! is a forum for educators to showcase fresh, creative ways to bring contemporary art and ideas into the classroom. Meet educators whose work embraces the spirit of inquiry and innovation. Hear how they engage students with the contemporary. Forget the curriculum fair. At the Curriculum Slam, the MCA hands educators the mic!

The MCA Curriculum Slam is probably the most efficient use of a teacher’s PD and networking time. Nowhere else will you gain such deep information on practice of such variety and enjoyment. The format is simply wonderful, and presenting is one of the more fulfilling experiences of my professional development career. I get to share awesome practices from my own classroom and absorb even more awesome opportunities while in the process of having a good time with peers.–Christopher Sykora, 2014 Slam Presenter and Teacher at Deerfield High School
